I’m currently studying Global Development Studies at the University of Helsinki, with a particular focus on technological development and dependency structures.

In my bachelor’s thesis, I examine the liminal space between data and knowledge, evaluating the importance of global knowledge hoarding for both economic and political reasons. I propose that global knowledge hoarding is a process that reinforces dependency structures and neo-colonial power dynamics, contributing to a multifaceted global challenge.

The paper will be available here in late June; meanwhile, I’m open to swapping ideas related to the topic.

Alongside my academic interests, I have a strong pull towards the startup scene. I’ve found that I have a natural drive to implement things in the real world in a way that resonates with people. For instance, I founded LaPresso, a company dedicated to everything coffee-related. Building on that experience, I’m currently building a tech infrastructure, which seeks to address the very challenges I’ve identified through my thesis research.
